Bespoke Design & Manufacture Service

With over 30 years’ experience designing and manufacturing trolleys we have a vast portfolio of previous designs and experience to draw on covering every conceivable industry.

As one of the few true UK manufacturers you won’t find a single product on our website that hasn’t been manufactured in our own factory in West Yorkshire and we are proud members of the Made In Britain Group because of this fact.

We have a huge range of standard products but we also specialise in designed solutions and bespoke manufacture.

We have 2 levels of bespoke design.

One we refer to as “tweaked” where one of our standard designs just needs modifying, this could be changing the dimensions, wheels or load capacity, alternatively you may want a different colour or additional features.

Secondly is “bespoke” where you require a completely new design. If you already have a design in mind, you can send a sketch or cad drawing or a written specification, we can visit your site to look over the proposal. If you don’t know where to start give us a call to discuss as a starting point.  Regardless our experience is always available to ensure you get the right result.

How to get started

What is the specific need or needs that you have, is it the size or shape of the product, the ergonomics, improvements in efficiency, issues with damages, branding?  Everyone’s reasons for needing to have something designed are totally different, even if 2 companies do very similar tasks the way they choose to handle their product may be wildly different. 

If you have ideas on how you want to go about the task you can either describe this to us, we can visit your site to look over your proposal, you can send us a “sketch” no matter how rudimentary or supply a full cad drawing for us to work to.

What sort of information will we need?

This really depends on the complexity of the project but here are a few standard things we are likely to ask you

  • What are the dimensions of the items that you wish to carry and how many do you want to move at once?
  • How much do they weigh?
  • What sort of environment are they going to be used in (indoor, outdoor, smooth floor, ramps to negotiate etc)?
  • What constraints are there (aisle widths, doorways, limited space)?
  • Are these going to be pushed by hand, internally powered or towed and if so what with and at what speed?
  • Are there any special requirements (steps for access included, parts protection to surfaces, specific access requirements, height adjustment etc)?
  • Finish requirement (specific colours, galvanized, zinc plated)?
  • Are there any specific material requirements?

Is there a minimum order requirement?

Simple answer, no!!  We can make 1 or 1000.
