Manual handling trolleys must be maintained to ensure safe operating. Prevent damage and reduce accidents in the workplace.

The importance of maintenance reduces damage, accidents, further costs to replace the unmaintained trolley and loss of workplace production.

All workers must be trained in maintaining and operating all trucks and trolleys before any task commences.

cleanliness
Keep the trolley clean, any spillages wiped immediately. Make sure the trolley frame, handles and wheels are kept clean after every use.

Wheel inspection
Inspect the wheels regularly. Look for signs of damage or wear.
Make sure the wheels are not loose or too tight and can move as they should. Keep the wheels clean.
Wheels must be of good quality. Never operate trucks or trolleys with faulty, damaged or dirty wheels.

Weight control
The trolley should never exceed the weight limit. This puts pressure on the trolley leading to damage.
Know the correct weight limit of the trolley and  combined weight of products to be loaded on the trolley.

Maintenance checks should be scheduled on a regular basis. Replace Breg Products trucks and trolley wheels when needed.
